### Gold from Nature
One of my "secret" ingredients... And the story goes:
Did you know that the famous phrase "Open Sesame" from the tale *Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves* (*One Thousand and One Nights*) is actually connected to the sesame plant? The expression originates from the sesame pod, which bursts open when the seeds are fully ripe.
**Tahini** - sesame paste - is made from 100% cold-ground sesame seeds, while **BIOLAND TAHINI** (100% cold-ground whole sesame seed paste) contains:
* 62% sesame oil
* 26% protein
* 10% carbohydrates
Only the highest-quality sesame in the world is used, sourced directly from the vibrant province of Gujarat in India, renowned for this remarkable plant.
Tahini made from whole sesame seeds contains everything needed for life to emerge from a seed:
* Minerals and vitamins: magnesium, iron, selenium, manganese, copper, calcium, B vitamins, and a high content of vitamin E.
* Proteins and essential amino acids, including methionine and phenylalanine.
Sesame oil is a natural concentrate of unsaturated fatty acids, lecithin, and phytosterols.
**Sesamin** and **sesamolin** are lignan plant compounds that contribute to lowering cholesterol levels, supporting liver detoxification, and stimulating the function of "lazy" intestines.
**BioLand Tahini** is prepared for everyday use in a way that allows the human body to fully utilize the nutritional value of sesame seeds.
### Benefits
* Excellent nutritional support for unbalanced diets.
* Combined with natural vitamin E, it helps combat free radicals, weakened immunity, and cellular aging while supporting healthy skin and hair.
* A valuable dietary addition for managing elevated cholesterol levels, fatty liver, and livers burdened by medications and toxins.
* Helps regulate bowel function, a common modern-day health concern.
* Supports healthy blood vessels and the elimination of toxins from the body.
* May help reduce the risk of certain chronic diseases.
For centuries, sesame seeds have been used throughout the Middle East and Far East as a traditional remedy for joint inflammation, liver disorders, low energy, weakened immunity, constipation, hair problems, nervous tension, blood-related conditions, and maintaining vitality in old age.
For daily use, one to two teaspoons of tahini mixed with honey can help replenish the energy depleted by the demands of modern life.
Its health benefits are particularly valued in cases of digestive issues, elevated cholesterol levels, weakened immunity, and various other health concerns. The high content of unsaturated fatty acids, lecithin, fiber, and amino acids makes tahini a unique and highly nutritious food.

Tahini is also frequently used as an ingredient in smoothies with fruit and leafy green vegetables. It pairs particularly well with banana, honey, cinnamon, cocoa, and coconut oil.
